ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE

Chairman Governing Council Directorate

Chairman Governing council  Directorate comprises two compressed departments,

Department One

  • Corporate Affairs, Legal, Secretarial, security, protocol on one hand and

Department Two

  • Finance, Accounting, Auditing Bursary on the other hand.

DEPARTMENTS

Chairman Governing Council Department (CGC).

The overall Management of the Polytechnic is divided into administration and finance of the Institution. He is in charge of International and national issues, school policy making and school development etc.

Admin Is directly in charge of the administration, correspondences, secretarial, welfare and disciplinary matters

Registry

Is the administrative and management structure of the school, deals with administration, record keeping, admission process, help the management to administer and coordinate, supervise the affairs of the school and report to the  Board.

Bursary

 is the finance and accounting department of the school who is in charge of the collection of the various fees including tuition fees and payment of salaries and allowances etc.

Laboratory

Provides all technological and practical training for all science students, computer science, engineering electrical and electronic etc.

Library Department

Provides services for students reading and research etc.

Works and maintenance Department.

This Department is in charge of the structural developments and maintenance of the entire school building, advising the management on the Technical work of the structures.

Security Department:

This is the department in charge of the total security of the entire school both materials, Equipments, vehicles, structures, students and staff etc.

ICT Departments: This Departments will be the manager of the institutions internet Services procedures, implementation and management, they shall adequately network all the departments together with the server and maintain such as well as creating innovations in the areas of research and Methodologies, advising the Polytechnic on Partnership, Affiliation and sponsorship for international growth academically and structurally etc.

COMMITTEES

Management committee

This is the body responsible for the general school management which assists the Rector in the day to day running of the school. The management shall formulate Policies that will be implemented in the right direction and also performs any other duties assigned to it by the Governing Council. They might also creates sub-committees The Compositions  of the committees are as follows: –

Academic committee

This is the body charged with the school academic policy making and overseeing the preparation and conduct of exam, presenting them to appointed committee for marking etc. They shall perform all such functions in line with national academic policies as in relation to examinations and sound academic studies.  The compositions are as follows: –

  1. Rector as Chairman
  2. Dean of Academic studies
  3. Head of Departments
  4. Dean  of student affairs
  5. One Senior Lecturer

Student Affairs Committee

Is the committee charged with the responsibility of addressing the matters concerning student’s welfare, students’ discipline and conduct etc. the compositions are as follows;

a. Dean of student affairs as Chairman

b.  Students Union President (SUG)

c.  Chief Security Officer

d.  One Senior Lecturer

Security Committee

Shall be in charge of the overall school protection, discuss, plan and formulate policies to help the security department as well as to help the school to resolve security problems emanating from the department.
